Now, after much hard work, it's time to put the finishing touch, i.e., attach the moldings. The base is made of brick and the old moldings were nailed, so I thought I'd try the same method, seems quick and convenient. But:

1. Which nails should I choose? And what size for pre-drilling?

2. Part of the wall is curved because of the staircase, how do I bend that molding?

You can nail if you can see the joints, then you can use steel nails, although it might not look very nice. Cut nails are used in lightweight concrete/leca/siporex, they are nails that are like a wedge, but I'm unsure if you can succeed in nailing with them in the mortar. I would have used nail plugs, they come in white if it's a white trim that needs to be put up. In the stairwell, depending on how curved it is, you might be able to fit a wooden trim; an alternative could be a plastic trim.
