Attaching heat-resistant material to concrete
I have cast a countertop for an outdoor kitchen where I'm planning to insert a kettle grill, now the hole is a bit too large (0.5-1cm) for the hinge to function well. I need to fill it with some heat-resistant material and also protect the grill a bit against the concrete.
My first thought was silicone, but finding one that withstands higher temperatures, is weather-resistant, and adheres to concrete doesn't seem entirely straightforward. Alternatively, attaching some softer material could work, but what?

Biltema has high-temperature silicone....
An alternative could be to drill and insert three rebar studs that the grill rests on...

Seen it, but what does it attach to? And is it for outdoor use?
I have a Casco silicone for 1500c but it is not recommended for outdoors, though I’ve tested it and after rain and rough weather it doesn’t seem to adhere well to the concrete...
I've thought about it, expander or similar, but I’d like it to rest softly so as not to scratch the grill too much.

Hello! Did you come up with a good solution? I'm thinking the exact same thoughts.
For those of you who have lowered the grill directly onto concrete, does it scratch a lot? It would be nice if you could handle it while keeping the warranty intact...
