Currently planning upcoming work tasks and thinking about how to handle the diffusion plastic where the wooden structure meets the concrete (the footing) and the leca wall (basement floor)?
Found a thread about tape where T-Flex and its German equivalent are discussed http://www.byggahus.se/forum/byggmaterial-byggteknik/42598-tejp-till-tatning-av-angsparr.html, but is that the right approach or should it be glued with something like butyl adhesive?
I have built with 300mm leca and the wooden frame consists of 220 studs.
The plan is to place the plastic on the studs and then use 45*45 for an installation layer. Then I might have to reinforce and possibly use a 45mm steel stud in the spaces where the wall transitions between the leca wall and the wooden frame.
I usually use Butylfog for that. It doesn't dry and become hard like other sealants.
I thought I had read that somewhere... It may not adhere perfectly to the concrete, but it should stick to wood, at least according to the installation instructions for T-Flex.
Time to follow up on a previous question with an answer from T-emballage since I use their system. The answer was as follows: "Against Leca or other concrete, it is recommended to prime with asphalt primer Katepal K-80. Once it is dry, clamp T-Tät with the most suitable Double-sided Joint Tape butyl. Against wood etc., priming is not needed."
