I'm going to put up some brackets for shelves in the kitchen and the wall consists of tile, plasterboard (I can't remember if it's standard thickness or renovation plasterboard), and finally boards, like tongue and groove but old and in some places there might be small gaps.

How should I best fasten my brackets? There will be porcelain and glass on the shelves so there will be some weight even though the shelves aren't so deep and long (about 15 cm deep and 80-90 cm long, one bracket at each end I've planned).

Should I use some screw/fastening element that expands behind the board wall? Or is it enough to screw into the boards (and hope I don't hit a gap...)?

S
actually drill and check that you hit well.
with real screws it holds, and that you hit right

OK, then it's to drill with a small dimension on the tile drill to check, and if I hit a gap, I can go up in dimension to fit in a plug or something else (molly?)?
