Hello,

I am unsure if I can drill through the 12 mm particleboard and the plastic film underneath, as I am concerned that moisture may penetrate through the holes where the plugs and screws will be and damage the parquet that I am going to lay on the particleboard.

I need to build a wall between the living room and the bedroom. I am wondering how I should attach a 45 x 70 timber stud to the floor when I have 12 mm particleboard on the floor. There are no timber studs under the particleboard, just plastic film and concrete. They've poured a concrete floor and on the concrete laid a thin plastic film and on top of that 12 mm particleboard.

I don’t understand how these particleboards are attached to the concrete since there are no screws anywhere.

Can I drill through the plastic film under the particleboard and insert plugs into the concrete that will hold the stud for the wall?

I have drawn how the floor looks and how I plan to insert plugs into the timber stud.

seems like you have a floating chipboard floor and they should not be attached to the concrete

I'm just thinking about screwing the wooden batten into the particleboard. I wonder if it will be stable enough?

use a metal floor track and mounting adhesive in between and 12 mm screws and then cut the standing studs slightly stiff

Do you mean that I should cut the standing studs a bit longer for them to fit better between the ceiling and the floor? In the ceiling, there’s concrete, so I can use wooden studs there. Does that mean I should only use a metal floor track on the floor?

if one wants, one can use a metal track in the ceiling as well and upright wooden studs
