I'm considering how to solve this in the best way. The hole in the ground needs to be filled and then I'm planning to lay paving stones. The area will function as a bike parking space, and to hide it a bit, I'm thinking of having a trellis toward the road.

The question is how should it be fixed in the best way? Should you install posts along the edge before filling and compacting the base layer? Install pipes and pour concrete? What would be best, really? It's probably also possible to fix a board between the house wall and the trellis by the bush for a bit better stability.

  • Earth patch by a white house corner, with wood planks and paving stones. Area is being prepared for stone paving and installation of a trellis.
  • Hole in the ground by the roadside, surrounded by a small hedge, paving blocks, and a bush. Area intended for filling and laying paving stones.
  • 3D illustration of a paved area near a building, featuring a trellis and a bush, intended as a bike parking space solution.
Either way works. I would have made the posts taller and added a simple roof as well.
