I have a wall that's banana-shaped and I'm planning to mount three wall-hung String shelves/boxes. It will be about 240cm long with four String brackets.

The wall is brick/concrete = screws + plugs hold very firmly.

Since the wall is so curved, I thought of screwing up a planed pine plank and painting it. On the sides, I can secure it with screws + plugs directly against the wall and in the middle, at least a 1cm gap will form which I'll have to shim with wooden pieces and screw through.

I've bought a 15mm thick + 69mm wide plank that will run horizontally at the top and bottom where the String bracket attachment points are.

My question: :)

Do you think it is sufficient to screw everything only into the plank or do I need to use screws long enough to go through into the brick + plugs? Or will two wall-mounted 15mm thick planed pine planks support enough with wood screws? 4 brackets so 4 screws at the top and 4 at the bottom.

Thanks in advance.
