I am going to mount a 45x195 plank on the siding to screw up a porch roof on it. What type of screw should I choose? And what length of screw? The mount on the new porch roof has 110mm between the holes, so that's why I chose a plank to attach it to. The plank will be placed on two rows of siding, which makes them slightly angled to the facade, but I believe it's so minimal that the plank doesn't need to be beveled on the backside.

The roof over the entrance is attached with lag screws that will also fasten into the fjällpanelen...

You must find something behind the fjällpanel to screw into, like a stud, then use a bunch of sturdy screws, either type 6x120-160 or franska

Remove some of the fjällpanelen and insert 45x195, attach it where the fällpanelen has been nailed to the studs. I think it will be more stable for you. Use screws that are about double (around 80-90mm long)
