Hello

I have torn down a wall that was between my kitchen and living room and am now going to build a door frame around the opening. The wall consists of 70mm blåbetong and is very sensitive and as everyone knows, it is very sensitive. I will be attaching planed 95x21 against the cut surface and then put molding around it. In connection with this, I will embed boxes in this construction to handle the electricity that was previously in the wall. This planed board must therefore be a bit away from the concrete edge to accommodate boxes and wiring.

I am now looking for a good way to attach these planed boards and at the same time get them plumb as the cut is not completely straight today. Can frame screws work? How do I securely attach these to blåbetong?

Attached is a picture of the wall: http://forumbilder.se/CEK2C/2013-06-22-19-55-36

Thanks in advance

I would take a 45x70 or 21x70 if it fits better and then glue and plug/screw it (facade plug in suitable dimension). In this board, you then screw spacers so that the boxes fit + visible casing is screwed into this.

How are you then going to cover the wall? Plasterboard over the entire surface?

I have been considering this solution and I'm leaning towards it, what I'm afraid of is that the facade plug might crack the wall but maybe it will hold?

I am not going to cover the wall, it should be open and will take molding to cover the gap between the planed board and the wall.

If you pre-drill correctly, it will go well, but you can also skip the plug and only use glue. With the right mounting glue, it will hold like a rock.
