I want to set up a small shelf, about 40x60 cm, next to the sink as a surface above the washing machine. I would prefer to avoid drilling.
The load on the shelf will be a few kilos (electric toothbrush with charger, makeup, hairdryer, etc.).

I understand that PL400 has good adhesion and is strong, but is it really "nail in a tube"?
The shelf will be attached on three sides, will it hold?

  • Washing machine with control panel, located next to a sink and tiled wall, planned location for a shelf to hold items like a toothbrush charger and hairdryer.

PL glue is an incredibly good adhesive, but in this case when you're going to glue onto what I can see as glossy tiles, I would probably use silicone glue instead. It adheres better to slippery surfaces and is also reasonably easy to remove if you want to. Clean the tiles with acetone or thinner if you want to be extra meticulous. T-röd also works reasonably well.

The fact that it won't hold is not a problem. It will be super strong if you just degrease properly first.
