Attach 70 mm studs to wall with angle brackets or nail plugs?

I am going to frame the facade of masonry blue concrete blocks. I was thinking of using 45 x 70 for slightly thicker insulation. Is it best to attach these with angle brackets or with long nail plugs?

Angle brackets feel the easiest but I am unsure.
