Hi,

spontaneously, I would say that where cabinets should be installed, do as little as possible. Where there will be tiles, make it fairly smooth, but you don't need to go overboard with sanding and filling. However, if you're considering painting, it needs to be done properly so the wall is completely smooth. Even the slightest unevenness shows when the paint is applied, unfortunately.
Could I replace part of the drywall higher up as well so the edge becomes smoother, like repairing the lower part? Or would the wall be weakened? I happen to have an extra drywall that is about the same size as the one I repaired. I can also trim it a bit narrower. Thought in case I want to paint the wall. I haven't decided yet and would like to be prepared for alternatives.

But it should preferably be done before plastering. Or do you want external things?
What do you mean? The drywall has always been there. Do you mean before putting putty on the wall?
I want as few visible wires as possible.
At what stage do you bring in the electrician?
I haven't ordered the kitchen yet from Ikea. Struggling with the "design". Considering different options.

It depends. Are there outlets where you want them, or do you want more? Different countertop lighting, etc. The electrician should come in before the drywall to get it done in the best way.

By drywall, do you mean wall plastering? Or repairing the drywall?

Electrical preparations need to be made for the washing machine. Currently, the wiring runs along the floor. Old wiring from the 70s.

The construction company hasn't responded yet, it's taking an insanely long time to get a reply.

No, I mean the plaster. As long as the wall is open, it's much easier to run the wiring. So if you want recessed boxes, etc., I would wait. Post a picture of the entire wall and show what you want so the forum can help.

Thanks, now I get it. Then I won't fasten the repaired gypsum board permanently. I sent pictures of the entire wall as a response to someone else here but under the same heading.
