Have indeed found 1200x800, 5150, and 4100 at Biltema, but it's a bit weak, I would probably want 6150 or 6100. Preferably a little larger LxW as well. It will be used as a combined fence trellis, and I prefer that it does not flex under load.

Are there half, third, or quarter pieces of reinforcement mesh available?
Who has them if so?

Either if you have a construction company in the neighborhood, they usually have some scrap pieces that can be exchanged for a bag of pastries.
Alternatively, the slightly more well-stocked building supply stores like Optimera (which I have good experience with) might have or agree to share a piece.

The trellis will be about 7x1.5 meters. Then I need to be able to transport the reinforcement mesh to and from the "galv-firman" in a regular station wagon. So scrap pieces are not a realistic option.

Are you going to galvanize the reinforcement mesh?

I don't quite understand the reason why you're asking either. Isn't it just a matter of cutting the meshes the way you want them?

A neighbor of a relative has really sturdy rebar, must be about 40mm in diameter, set up as a mesh (I assume he welded it himself). That's what I would go for if I were you, maybe not quite as thick but at least buy the iron and build the mesh yourself.

Of course they should be galvanized! Rust is really ugly and always looks shabby. I got a price estimate over the phone of between 500-1000 SEK + VAT for hot-dip galvanizing. Worth every penny!

Having the building supply store cut them to size, with right angles in the corners and suitable tolerance, sounds very expensive... I don't have access to a car with a tow hook, or a trailer, so both the tow vehicle and trailer would have to be rented if I were to transport the entire mesh home.

It's simply easiest if there are ready-made small pieces available for purchase.

Cutting with an angle grinder is easy to do yourself. If it needs to be done on-site at the hardware store to fit the meshes in the car, a battery-powered angle grinder might work.

You can cut 6mm with bolt cutters, 8mm can also be cut but 10mm then it starts to get tough.

I would think a bit before using an angle grinder at a construction store, hot work and sparks... would use a reciprocating saw, bolt cutter, or possibly a hacksaw.
