Previously, I have used Murma arch form above windows, and it has worked well for a 120mm brick width, but what is intended to be used for Mexitegel with a width of 60mm? Murma 75AL15 is recommended for brick widths of 80-100mm. If you use it, the drip edge will hang out along the front lower joint even if you nibble off the upper angle on the backside lengthwise to save 15mm. Probably no one uses Mexi anymore, but I don't want to replace the entire facade because of two windows

It will be a supporting part, so I doubt that bent sheet metal meets the strength requirement. A temporary solution would be to install a galvanized L-steel, but even that might experience some deflection with a 1500mm span.
I have removed the loose stones now and the existing solution was a screwed-together L-profile of 25mm planed wood
So, I have just over 90mm to use if I remove the wood, which means that Murmas' 75-profile should work if I nibble off the rear angle on the top. It can't hurt to anchor the profile to the frame as you write, but it's probably not necessary since there are only 4 joints over the opening.
