I'll be building a simple ramp using pressure-treated lumber for my storage shed, about 1 meter wide, with a drop height of around 35-40 cm over 2 meters. This is to easily move lawnmowers, bicycles, wheelbarrows, etc., in and out. Does anyone have tips on how to make it non-slip?

I've seen solutions where the decking is covered with galvanized metal mesh with approximately 20-25 mm openings. How do you get it to sit tightly against the boards? Stapling in each mesh? How well does such a solution hold?

Any other ideas?

Yes, expanded metal is your solution. Usually screwed with a washer.

Okay, how tight do you need to screw? Over the entire surface or is it enough along the edges of the net?

Another idea for anti-slip protection is to nail on takpapp.

It's certainly an interesting idea. What can one speculate about its lifespan? It's probably not really made for regular wear and tear with boots and shoes.

It holds up surprisingly well. I have it on the "temporary" decking step at the entrance, and it's been there for a year or more.

Easy to replace and there's always someone who wants to get rid of an extra roll ;)

The dance floor (open/outdoor) in the area, we also covered the slippery steps with it. No kids have fallen on their bottoms since then ;)

Ok, I might try this first then. You can change later if you think it doesn't work.

Ok, thanks for the tip. Looks like regular sandpaper.
But I'll probably try roofing felt first, will probably have some sqm left over after I've laid the roof on the shed.

I have tried with anti-slip tape available at Biltema, it requires thorough preparation with sandpaper and dry wood. But roofing felt is cheap and easy to replace, will try it myself when all the anti-slip tape has fallen off...
