Clay-plastered gables on the upper floor, it's so beautiful., but this particular wall will be framed and clad with Hunton insulation 14 cm, so here I've used the clay instead of weather protection paper kind of. I think I'll leave a small gap between the clay and Hunton, but I'm not sure if it really must be that way? I thought I could cut narrow strips of Hunton Windtight and press them into the clay. What do you think Bjor? should there be a small gap?
The picture turned out too dark, but I'll take a new one later this week.

No gap is needed, there's just a bigger risk that it could lead to condensation. Because you mean a completely empty gap? Moisture should be able to migrate between the layers.

Then lay the floor without any joists directly on the clay; 2-3 cm should be sufficient. Otherwise, another option is to make a clay floor, but then the clay layer should be a little thicker, though I can't remember what is recommended. Then linseed oil in the final layer of clay.
