Hello,

I have tried using the search function but can't find a suitable answer to my questions.

Note, the facade will be plastered.

We don't want any reveal on the outside and want the window flush with the facade. Is this suitable, or should we have a small reveal, if so, how deep?

If we mount the window flush with the facade, we would prefer not to have any trim around the window. Is it possible, or should we have trim that covers the gap between the frame and the facade?

How should we do this to make it look best?

Should we ask the plasterers to plaster the facade (not the reveal)? I will mount the window flush and then set a thin trim over the joint?

Anyone with pictures of different finished results?

This post got a bit messy, but I hope you understand.

Hello,
do you have the insulation on the outside of the facade? If I need a bracket at the bottom of the window. StrongTie sells them in different sizes.

To get it nice and tight on the outside, there are, as far as I know, only two methods. Fugband or MS 20 Fug with drainage under the window sill.
Maybe you can give us a bit more information about how your exterior walls are constructed.

These are passive house walls. Cross-section of the wall from inside to outside:
(approx. measurements) 5 cm EPS - 11 cm concrete core - 26 cm EPS. I have attached a picture showing how it looks.

The mounting anchors that are available do not reach from the window to the concrete core. I have an idea to cut out a part of the EPS and insert wooden beams to attach the anchor to. I believe this solution will be the simplest and best.

I should also mention that these are PVC windows and I will be using foam. I assume you mean Sikaflex MS20? Maybe I should make sure to plaster the facade first and then install the windows and use white sealant.

Hello,
if you want to clean the exterior walls, contact a seller of STO. They have a special sealing strip that sticks onto windows.
There are many manufacturers that have MS 20. I meant Ljungbergs.dk
MS 20 has the advantage of being very UV stable.

I have personally installed windows with the Strongtiesystem, using those holders at the bottom.
They are easy to install and additionally, you don't damage too much insulation as opposed to a stud. Fill those holders with fugskum.
