Adjust terrace awning with expandable screw?
We have a problem. We installed the terrace awning in the rafters, but since they have a slope in themselves, we cannot adjust the awning upwards to the same degree. We solved this by reversing the brackets, which did the trick. However, the fine-tuning with the slope remains, and by reversing the bracket, we lost the adjustment function; it's now reversed, so to speak.
The images show how the brackets are mounted, and the brass-colored bolt in the lower image is the temporary solution we have now. In the upper image, you can see the "hole" from the other side.
We can easily solve the adjustment if we can find a corresponding adjustable expansion function instead of the spacers that the bolts currently form. Since the awning rests against these at the back, they need to withstand considerable pressure. Does anyone have a simple and reasonably cheap method or tips on screws/bolts that can solve this?

A question: do you want to fine-tune the awning "once and for all," or do you want to be able to adjust it from time to time?
Once and for all is probably good enough, like not welding it in place, but the idea is that one adjustment should suffice. If it needs to be readjusted because of something, then you can spend some time redoing it. What were your thoughts?
The idea was that if it doesn't need to be adjusted often, it should suffice to put something with the right dimensions instead of the "mässingsskruven". But if it were that simple, you probably wouldn't have asked the question in the forum.
No, that's right. The problem is that it's difficult to find the right dimension for fine-tuning. A millimeter at the support beam results in a 10-15 cm change at the outer end of the awning (3m depth). I considered a French wood screw, which is slightly conical, but I don't like the solution, although I like the type of solution. If there were space, a small screw with a nut inserted would have been good, just unscrewing the nut a bit to expand, but the space is not there; you must access it from the side.
Magnu. Yes, that is conceivable, but then we will probably mount them under the roof via wedges between the rafters with carriage bolts. An "adjustment screw" would, however, be the simplest option in that context.
