Hello,
We will be starting our house project in the spring and need tips and advice on how to dampen sound in an 85 sqm room with 2.8 m ceiling height, large windows, and HRC polished concrete floor.
Is acoustic plaster on the ceiling expensive? Are there other smart solutions available besides a ribbed ceiling?

What is the goal? Normally, curtains, carpets, and furniture are enough.

What are your measurements for width and length? It's quite important, you can end up with a perfect storm of wrong dimensions. Pythagorean numbers (3,4,5) are an example of good measurements from an acoustic perspective, i.e., 3 m in height, b=4 l=5 is 2.8 in height, 5.6 in length, and say 4.2, then you've created an awesome resonance box. But I suspect you want to reduce the reverberation time. In that case, acoustic plaster is excellent.
