Absolute minimum dimension for house construction

I'm not a structural engineer, but the dimensions of the timber used in house construction today are, as I understand, well-sized and also adapted for the thickness of insulation, etc. But what are the absolute minimum dimensions that could be used? Of course, it depends on where the house will be located, snow loads, etc., but if you consider a fairly ordinary villa somewhere.

If you mean vertical studs in the outer wall, not much is needed. According to the wood guide, 45x95 (C14) is sufficient for a 5m wide two-story house with free-spanning trusses in snow zone 1.5.

Can't really say, there are too many variables, but there are friggebodar/smaller cabins that are "timmrade" with a log profile that is 45mm thick and even narrower.
