Hello,

I'm planning to buy a new TV, either 83 inches or 98 inches.

The TV will be mounted on a drywall, and my plan is to set up a plywood board that is attached to the studs. I'll then attach the wall mount to the plywood board for greater adjustment possibilities.

The 83-inch TV weighs 40kg and I plan to use an articulating wall mount that can extend 400mm from the wall. Do you think it will hold with the TV that far out from the wall? There might be a considerable lever effect, right?

The 98-inch TV weighs 55kg, but it will be mounted with a standard mount.

Currently, I have a 65-inch TV that weighs 45kg and is attached to a stud and molly plug.

Best regards,

Ö

Is it single drywall or double drywall? 🤔

If it's double drywall, you'll only need these

TOX Spagat Pro M8mm tilt plug packaging showing a tilt plug for drywall anchoring.

If it's single drywall, I would try to find a joist on at least one side of the bracket.

Single plaster unfortunately. Yep, that's what I thought too, that I have it attached to at least two studs.

It's probably better to place two horizontal studs, type 45x70 mm, that are attached to the standing studs.
It will be more stable.
