Hello. I'm about to start setting up battens for the sheet metal roof on a new utility building and I have a good stack of regular panel boards that I thought could be used. If you lay two on top of each other, you can also overlap and don't need to splice on the rafters.
Does this work or will it be too weak?
The rafters are at cc120, no sub-roof, just rafters, load-bearing battens, sheet metal.

Will two 25x70mm boards laid on top of each other be as stable as one 50x70mm plank is the simple question, right?
