I'm sitting here pondering whether it would be possible to construct outdoor columns that are 2.5 m high in concrete. I would like to create a 4-meter long and 2-meter wide "colonnade." For the "roof," there would need to be some form of beams spaced 40 cm apart. Does anyone know if this construction could be built and be stable?

Shouldn't be a problem. But you need to let them go down to a deep plinth, preferably to frost-free depth.
