16g or 18g brad nails for 15x120mm tongue and groove paneling indoors
Hi,
I am planning to install 160 sqm of finely sawed white-glazed slatted paneling from Baseco on interior walls (a carpenter will install an additional 165 sqm on the ceiling) and now the question is whether I should use 16g, 1.6mm, or 18g, 1.2mm, brad nails?
I will be using a pneumatic or gas/battery-powered nail gun and will shoot into the paneling if possible... with just about a 3mm gap.

For the ceiling, you should have at least 16g.
Updating the thread a bit.
The panel will be nailed hidden, i.e., 45 degrees in the groove. That means there will only be one nail in the width of the panel, but on the other hand, isn't skew nailing more secure?
