Sketching a new house and fell a bit for this from Intressanta Hus:
https://intressantahus.se/bashus/signature-1-178/
A modern house design from Intressanta Hus, featuring large glass windows and a vaulted ceiling in the living room, set against a backdrop of trees.

I really like the living room area with the vaulted ceiling, but now realize that it’s a 12.6m vaulted ceiling! It almost sounds unbelievable to me, what are the dimensions of those things?

If you have scissors trusses, the load is placed on the walls, allowing you to build as long as you like.

But here it is glulam with only upper chords for trusses...

Yes, but now it's probably not scissors trusses:
You can see the beam in their rendering:
Modern kitchen with high ceilings, large triangular windows, and minimalist wood cabinetry. The space features an island with a black faucet.

The disadvantage of scissors trusses is that you can't achieve the constant thickness of the roof that they have achieved.

I didn't say they have scissors trusses:)
I wrote that if you want to build long without it getting too expensive, it's an option.
I didn't want a ridge beam in the roof and wanted to lower the cost a bit when I was building new and was alone in the construction, so for me, that became the solution.

I wrote that if you want to build long without the cost running away, it's an option.
I myself didn't want a ridge beam in the roof and wanted to bring the price down a bit when I built new and was alone in the construction, so for me, it became the solution.
Then I understand.

Here I like the effect it gives, but whether it's worth the money for this solution is another matter 😅

Since I have a single-story with a vaulted ceiling, thanks to the scissor trusses I can access and inspect the entire roof from the inside and can see any leaks directly.

But is there really no support along the way? Otherwise, it would almost require a steel beam in the ridge.

The disadvantage of scissor trusses is that you can't achieve the constant thickness of the roof as they have done.
You can build like a suspension bridge: a pylon at each gable and cables holding up the ridge.
But I think what's in the picture is quite ugly.

The glulam at the ridge supports itself on the post between the windows, then there are upper frames on or against the glulam that land on the walls down to..

Not according to the floor plan, I think it would have ruined the impression somewhat.

Now, it's not a budget manufacturer, so it's not impossible that they use what should be a quite expensive steel beam up there.
