Hey, I have a question for you! Do you know where/how to get hold of poles/young pine trunks, or whatever it is? Can you buy it from a sawmill or how do you do it if you want to get hold of it but don't have any forest?

Contact those who harvest forests and ask if you can visit a future clear-cut area before they go there themselves. What you want to get a hold of and cut down are "undertryckta granar."

Asp or birch saplings should work. Aspen usually grows tall and slender, so it's probably easier to find. I would check on Facebook or on skogsforum if I didn't already know people with forests.

What you are looking for is what's left in the forest after undergrowth clearance/thinning.

These used to be made from suppressed spruces.

And the thin spruces are not left behind after logging. They go in their own sorting, I believe that fraction is called kubb. Clear-cutting is barren.

Maybe 30-40, and it's going to be made into tents. The poles will serve as the framework.

No, that's a misunderstanding, kubb is a category from which you can saw or mill a piece/timber from, I think you're looking for the term "slana" which is used for fences.

30-40 pieces for a tent. Now we don't know how or where you live, but take a trip out into the woods in your neighborhood to see if anyone has cleared the forest and left anything behind. In the woods around the cabin, there are things that would be enough for a small tent city and that remain lying around, mostly leaves. Contact the landowner and ask if you can take it. I have cleared a little myself and put aside some aspens that I have debarked for various uses, such as shrub supports.
