I'm planning to build a summer house of 70 m2 with a slab foundation. I haven't decided whether to build with wood or lightweight concrete. Does anyone have experience with both? Costs? Easiest?

I have built a wooden house and live in a lightweight concrete house. With that experience, I would build in wood, I think it's easier because screws and nails hold in wood :) But if you know how to do masonry, it's probably easy too. But I like to be able to put up and secure things without drilling and plugging and a lot of that. But wood requires much more maintenance of course.

Did this thread really go right now?

What else should lighting be about? :D:P I just check "Latest posts," never really know which subforum the thread is in, but some might miss it.

Oh dear! Beginner.....haven't quite understood how it works....

With similar experiences as Jan-Å, if I build new or buy another house, it will have a wooden frame. I currently live in lightweight concrete and have undertaken an extensive renovation in recent years. Many tasks (not all) would have been easier with a wooden frame. For example, we have added insulation and replaced the facade, windows, and doors, which has involved a lot of hassle with things like facade plugs in abundance when we insulated.

I was mostly thinking about the construction itself. I have done an extension in wood, but never worked with lightweight concrete.
