I plan to add insulation to the ceiling joists of the attic in our 1920s house. Currently, it looks like this:
From inside out:
Raw plank
Building paper
Peat
Floorboard

I plan to add so that it will be as follows:
Raw plank
Building paper
Peat
Linen wool insulation
Floorboard

The question is, should I also have some form of wind barrier/paper between the linen wool insulation and the floorboard?

If you have floorboards that form a tight floor, you don't need any paper, but if there are openings, you can use a construction mat as the top layer. The construction mat, 50mm thick, has paper on one side.

I am installing 17mm råspont. However, I need to leave a gap at the edges, could this cause problems? What are the risks? Could moisture occur or does it just insulate worse if the insulation is exposed to drafts?
