Hello!

I'm in the process of building a box that is 120*120. The box will be flush against the ceiling so that I can later install spotlights in it!

Now that my first studs are in place, I've discovered that the ceiling is very uneven! How do you think I should proceed to make it as inconspicuous as possible?

I am using metal studs! The depth of the box will be 15cm. Should I make the bottom edge of the box (the side where the spotlights will be mounted, towards the floor) horizontal, or should I follow the ceiling so that all the edges of the box have the same measurement, but then it will "lean" to one side just like the ceiling? It's about a 5mm slope over 120cm. It's quite noticeable on the framework, but perhaps it will look strange if the sides of the box are of different sizes!!!

Best regards, //Johan

I couldn't wait for an answer any longer, so I went ahead and built the bottom edge in a wave with the spirit level! looks good... probably only I will notice if there's any minimal tilt anyway...

Feels good, made the right decision!!
