I'm not an experienced saw user, hence my question. I bought my first circular saw a while ago. A corded Makita. That bastard always stops when there's a few centimeters left of the plank. What am I doing wrong? It's not about thick planks. 120 mm wide and 28 thick.
That a 120x28 would pinch without you noticing is probably impossible. How does it stop, in what way? It could be that there's something wrong with the darn thing... or that you are one of those who actually shouldn't have a saw 
Ripping? Sure, it could be, but the original poster hasn't mentioned ripping at all. And how many circular saws come with 48-60 teeth? Isn't 24 the standard?mlkjhr said:
