Is this "normal"?
I have installed Moelven's whitewashed Trend panel on the walls. After a couple of months, it has changed shade and is no longer white. It has acquired a red/pink hue, see pictures.
In the ceiling is Moelven's whitewashed Rough panel, and now the shade on the walls is clearly accentuated.
The walls were installed in the spring, and the ceiling this weekend.
According to Moelven, pine "matures" and the heartwood becomes more prominent. Shouldn't this have been clearly stated if so? I bought a white panel because I want white walls, but they aren't white for more than a few months?
This is the first time I have installed anything like this, hence my question if it should really be this way.

Wood is a living material that is affected by light and stain is not opaque, so color variations are something one has to live with. It is difficult to draw any conclusions from the image since colors can vary so much digitally, but I would guess that the red tone is currently emphasized by the ceiling being whiter. It will probably even out over time.
