Hello,

We are going to install 2 marble window sills (100x15x2) under 2 smaller windows ("gluggar"). They will likely be used mainly by our 2 cats, which means they need to withstand about 15-20 KG plus the weight of the sill.

They will be placed about 150 cm from the floor, and there are sofas below. The wall mainly consists of drywall and one or two studs that we have had difficulty locating.

Currently, the plan is to use 6 of the following window sill brackets (3 each):

Each bracket is attached with 2 molly bolts (single drywall 12.5 mm) or 2 wood screws if we manage to locate a stud.

Will this be sufficient, or do you have suggestions for better alternatives?

EDIT: Inserting a picture from the window sill manufacturer:

So say 10 cm in from the left and right sides, this gives us 100 - 2x10 = 80 cm. 80 / 2 = 40 cm so there will be 3 brackets per sill, just as planned.

It holds without problem, count 20 kg per molly. Becomes 120 kg.
