The kitchen ceiling is covered with wood paneling, and the kitchen's upper cabinets are fitted against the ceiling with a molding to make the transition look a bit nicer. The wood ceiling needs to come down, but I don't want to remove the kitchen cabinets. So, I need to remove the moldings where the ceiling and upper cabinets meet and saw off the wood paneling as close to the kitchen cabinets as possible. Then plastering awaits, and I'll cover the joint just like before with molding.

The only question is, what tool should I use... Fein saw?

Just as you say, a fein/gop/multimachine of some kind is perfect for this.

There is also a multicutter at Jula for about 250 kronor that seems to work quite well if you don't feel like spending ten times that on a Fein.

I had one of those before I bought the Bosch. It works but makes a terribly loud noise.

The same can be said about Classes version; Sounds and vibrates but is quite cheap.

I have one of those. Sounds funny but gets the job done. For the little I use it, I don't need another.

It turned out to be a multi-tool from Ryobi... Cut, saw, sand.
