An approximately 8-meter long log has washed up on our beach during the winter. It is carved in two places on the thick end and in one place on the narrow end. It has been attached to something else where it is carved. I thought it might be a remnant of a log house, but there is a lot of branch left on the log. Does anyone recognize the type of work?
As a size reference, there is a medium-sized dog sitting at the thick end.
No, it's not. Houses are processed on the top and bottom so that the logs fit tightly. Additionally, they are processed on the sides at the ends, but not in the middle. That's not how timber from houses looks. I am quite sure it comes from a stenkista.
