What kind of board is this?

I can't figure out what kind of board this is, can someone help me? It's on the ceiling, about 12 mm. The white is remnants of fabric that was on it.

It could be gipsskiva

Isn't it suspiciously similar to a chipboard.

Thought chipboard first, but got unsure about the difference between board/masonite and chipboard. 🤷

I'm really just trying to figure out what to do with it - if it's worth applying joint compound if it will adhere well, or if I should screw up renovation gypsum boards.

Do not plaster particle board, it cracks at the joints. Ceiling gypsum if you want a painted ceiling, otherwise wood paneling or ceiling paneling.
