after we removed a wardrobe in a room, we need to complete the baseboard. Have visited every hardware store nearby and tried googling, but can't find anything similar. Taking a chance here, does anyone know what this might be called, or tips on where to get these?

Regards

  • White baseboard against a gray wall and exposed drywall, meeting a light-colored wood floor, with visible texture and minor imperfections.
  • Damaged wooden skirting board with a missing section against a wall on a wooden floor; a yellow object and power socket in the background.

Welcome to the forum!

Before World War II, approximately, moldings were made in local carpentry shops, and each carpentry had its own profiles. This means that if you now want exactly the same moldings, they must be ordered from a local carpentry or similar. It was unwise of the person who cut the baseboard not to save the cut-off piece.

Thank you!

Not saying you're wrong, or that ultimately it might be necessary to contact a sawmill to make exact copies. But since the majority of the baseboards were installed just 10-15 years ago, I doubt it was some old sawmill that custom-made these from before World War II.

Yes, it is an allmogelist. At least of the same type. But the curved part is much higher than a conventional allmogelist.
