Hello, we're going to replace the facade on our house, which currently has an Eternit facade, with a wooden facade instead. What is important to consider? We are aware of how to take down and handle the Eternit. The house is built of Siporex. Should we add insulation? I've read a bit that you probably don't do that, but is an air gap sufficient?

It is probably necessary to first notify the Building Committee?

I probably should have done that myself when I switched from colorless timber stain to Faluröd 30 years ago.

Okay, yes, I will check that, thanks for your answer!

I believe that if you purchase the service, the handling of eternit is subject to many restrictions. In other words, expensive.

If you do it yourself, different rules apply, yet still personal protection, material handling, etc.

Yes, we've read up on that and hiring someone for it becomes too expensive.

It's an excellent opportunity to insulate externally, at least, if you don't do it in connection with the facade replacement, it probably won't happen.
