Hello!
In the garden, which is on a sloping plot, previous owners have terraced different levels in the garden to create flat surfaces. I would like to excavate an area and make it level. I need to support where the excavation ends. Since the soil there will be completely vertical and about 2 meters high, I need to reinforce the slope/steep face so that the soil doesn't collapse on us. How does one stabilize a 90-degree vertical slope and make it completely stable against the risk of landslides? I don't want to build a retaining wall there.
More thinking about geotextile fabric and reinforcement?
But I'm not sure what is safest.

the picture shows how it looks. The soil at the bottom of the image will be removed. So the steep face will be straight down, 90 degrees.

Completely stable without risk of collapse will probably be difficult without a retaining wall. But otherwise, the mantra is roots, roots, roots. The more that grows, the better the soil is bound. So think in terms of suitable plants that can do the job for you.
