Hello!

I live in a house from the 1920s with an extension from the late 40s.

We're currently renovating a bit in the extension part and it seems like there's tretex in the walls if I'm not mistaken. But around the windows and along the floors, I also find some type of fibers that I guess were used for caulking/insulation in some way.

Has anyone seen anything similar and knows what kind of material it is?

/ Andreas

Fibrous material and wooden planks exposed beneath a wall, possibly used for insulation or sealing, in a 1940s house extension. Close-up of wall showing wood panel and fibrous insulation material next to a white molding. Possible building materials from 20th-century house renovation.
