Can anyone make an educated guess regarding what building material this indoor ceiling is made of and the likelihood of asbestos content or not? I know it cannot be said with 100% certainty, but educated guesses are appreciated. Information and two pictures below.

The apartment building was constructed in the 1940s. Don't know if it has been renovated since then.
Asbestos was most commonly used in the 1950s-70s, right?

The indoor ceiling is painted in white. Underneath the white, it is gray. So the base building material is gray.

The building material is hard. It's not possible to screw into it because a screw won't grip. To secure a screw, it must be drilled and then "plugged."

My amateur guesses (which could be completely wrong): building material: render? Asbestos content: little or none?

Smooth, white-painted indoor ceiling showing texture and surface detail in a 1940s apartment, possibly made of plaster, queried for asbestos content.

Completely impossible to answer!
To know, you need to remove a bit of the material to study how it looks.
Looks like a regular painted concrete or plaster ceiling to me.
Let's turn the question around, why do you want to know? Asbestos is not harmful if you don't disturb it.
Are you planning to demolish the ceiling?
