Hello,
I am working on some plans for a carport/cold garage. The plot is very(!!) hilly and one way to build it is to brick the walls and cast a concrete slab as the roof, with platon and grass mat on top.
Now I am wondering how much the concrete might weigh per... say 1sqm, 10cm thick? Excl. reinforcement of course... a bit difficult for you to calculate
Just so I get an idea of how strong walls and pillars I need...

Aaah, thanks!
Now I'm not so familiar with the load-bearing capacity of concrete, so I might as well ask you kind souls here on the forum.
The dimensions of the carport/garage are intended to be 6x6 meters on the inside.
It would then require building three walls, with two pillars in the middle, one at the "entrance" and one in the center-center.
My thought is to build with leca - will I manage with 19x19x59 or do I need 25x19x59?
The pillars I will build formwork and cast on site.
The roof... a heck of a hassle to get up such a form!?
Maybe cast blocks, possibly order ready-made from the precision factory in the neighboring town...? Just lift in place.
How thick a slab might be needed? Will have grass on top, plus a lot of snow. (Jämtland)
I participated in a private build where they made such a garage, but of 100 sqm and without pillars... But I was never there to see the formwork, casting, etc.
I just got to paint the thing.
So I've seen that it works, but I need some help with the strength calculation.

No, you're absolutely right. But you know... you have to ask the forum first!
I know the construction works as a whole, as I have seen some both similar and almost exactly the same projects.
Spontaneously, a finished "roof block" from the concrete manufacturer feels like the safest solution.
Probably the most expensive, but fairly problem-free. Theoretically at least...
