I completely renovated a bathroom (and house) and initially thought of installing a "regular" toilet, but I have started to lean towards a wall-mounted one from IFÖ, see video.

In the video, they build the mounting frame into a wall/extension after they have tiled.
Would you do it this way considering I only have studs now and can, so to speak, build the entire wall in one go?
How do you cover the console, glue on plasterboard, and then tile on these?

You need to consider what type of toilet you want.
The water tank on the toilet or built into the wall.
If it is to be in the wall, you must have access for service.
Is the drainage positioned so that it is suitable to install a wall-hung toilet?

it's very simple. You build the wall; it should be fairly thick depending on the type of wall-mounted chair, and keep in mind that the plumbing needs space.
Mount a stud on each side of the construction, don't forget that the waterproofing needs to be behind the construction, meaning inside the wall.
When you attach the construction, you should not anchor it to the floor but sideways.
Then you mold a hollow vessel and plaster (don't forget the warning pipe).

By service, it probably means how you handle it if the flush mechanism gets stuck or it starts running continuously. You need to build it so that you can access the tank, etc., without breaking the waterproofing.Krypstocken said:
