I bought a house with a basement, and currently, the shower is in the laundry room, which we would like to move. The laundry room is currently adjacent to the toilet, which is located in a corner (with two exterior walls). The plan is to make an opening in the wall between the toilet and the laundry room towards the exterior wall, and then build a wall at an angle.

where the shower would be in the "L". The plan is to build this L up to about 1.7 - 1.8 m, which will be tiled, and then place concrete glass on top to allow some light in from the laundry room window and create a more open feel. What should we use to build this L, and what should we consider regarding moisture barriers? Currently, there is a laundry sink in the laundry room, so there is already a floor drain, but it probably needs to be replaced since it's from the '70s. I plan to do this in the winter; the foundation hasn't been drained since the '70s, and the outside is filled halfway with macadam then sand soil. I plan to drain and insulate from the outside in spring/summer.
There are a couple of questions: how do we build this L wall, how do we handle moisture barriers, and are there any disadvantages? Some say it's very cold to shower against an exterior wall. Any additional comments?
