I'm in the process of replacing insulation in my attic apartment. I've been considering investing in SPU (polyurethane boards) which have better U-values than mineral wool (I don't have airplanes above to soundproof against), but I need something more efficient in some areas (for example, I'm planning to have a built-in speaker in the bathroom ceiling, and I won't be able to have as thick insulation there because an air gap is needed for acoustics).
I had my eye on SPU's vacuum boards, but it turns out they don't sell the standard boards they advertise on their website.
Therefore, I'm now looking for other suppliers of VIP boards for insulation. I've received another quote, but it came in at about 4500/sqm, which is way too expensive. Does anyone have tips on another supplier?
