Weave strip in plaster joint?
Definitely use tape!! I'm renovating a house where the previous owner put up a whole lot of drywall and you can immediately see where he used tape and where he "forgot". In the places where there is no tape, the filler has cracked and it looks really awful!

Hi.
If you're going to wallpaper and don't have too large areas, I would buy husfix. You get frustrated with filler that sinks. Maybe I'm bad at plastering, but it doesn't matter how meticulous and careful I am, there's always some little shadow that appears. Husfix is relatively expensive, but you only need to apply it once because it doesn't shrink.
There are definitely more fun things to spend time on.

The paper strips are flexible/elastic in two directions. Therefore, they suit wooden houses very well.
The fiberglass strips are rigid in one direction, which at best fits a non-flexible construction.

What's wrong with screwing sheet metal behind all joints and corners? That usually suffices.

You should place metal strips behind there. You shouldn't have those kinds of joints except in the ceiling.abel48 said:
