On the hunt for what in the USA is called Pole wrap. It seems to be some kind of bendable MDF, but can't find anything designed to have the "ribs" outward. Looking for the ribs to be visible outward. Should feature a "nice" v-groove
Flexible MDF pole wrap with ribbed texture and v-groove design, showing ribbed side outward. Used for decorative purposes in building and renovation.

No one with any ideas?

When I saw the picture, I thought jalusi for e.g. a mixing console or a desk drawer unit.

Flexible MDF does exist, but the idea here is to have the ribs inward and a smooth plywood outward. What is the use case and desired dimensions for each rib?

The idea is to create rounded ends that have a feeling of being an arched piece of furniture, so you avoid the angular look. A person pointing at a curved wooden headboard design, showcasing rounded edges to create a furniture piece with an arched feel, avoiding angular shapes.

Curved wooden cabinet with shelves, displaying various decorative items like pottery and books, designed to soften angular aesthetics.

We probably haven't decided on the exact measurement per rib yet, but it shouldn't be too big so it feels bulky. Maybe 12x5mm?

Fanerami went bankrupt and were acquired by Glimakra. If you have a business, you can order from them.

Great, thanks for the help

Fanerami has really good things, but you should be prepared that the blinds cost quite a bit. Unlike böjmdf etc., it is solid wood or mdf on a carrier. Otherwise, maybe some carpentry with a flatbedcnc can v-notch some veneered mdf boards for you.

Doesn't it feel like this is something one could make oneself?

Yes, of course you can, but before I embarked on that, I wanted to see if it existed to buy ;)

Reviving an old thread, did you find anything good?

No unfortunately, we ended up making our own version with smyglister.
