Valve in the way, lower the ceiling

Intend to lower the ceiling in the apartment, but in the bathroom, for example, there is a vent that will end up above the new ceiling. Is it okay to "build around" the vent? How much needs to be open around the vent?

What about the ventilation, will it be negatively affected considering the vent will almost be hidden?

Is the vent in the wall or in the ceiling?
If it's in the wall, maybe you can attach a 90-degree pipe bend and pull it through the new ceiling.
If it's in the ceiling, maybe you can extend it with a new pipe down through the new ceiling.

The valve is on the wall. I didn't think of that, a 90-degree bend it will be. Thanks!
