I'm planning to build office furniture out of Valchromat and I'm wondering about the material's durability. I plan to have tabletops that are about 1 meter long, as well as shelves of the same length.
Do you think it will work without sagging? I intend to mount them on string gavlar.

Since I didn't even know what it was, I googled it. It seems like shelves are built with this material, so depending on the thickness, it should work.
Isn't it just through-colored MDF?

Here you can calculate deflection in different materials depending on thickness and attachment, etc. At the bottom, you have MDF in different qualities; Valchromat should be considered as medium density or high density, I think.
