I was planning to lower my ceiling in the living room but only along the wall about 60cm out (like a frame around the room) and then install downlights. I was wondering how to do this in the simplest way? The ceiling and walls are made of concrete.

There are profile systems for this, but they cost quite a bit, so I would drill and fix studs along the ceiling and wall, then frame up a "cage" structure and then, for example, cover it with plasterboard.
