I use double-sided tape almost exclusively on tiles instead of drilling.
Just make sure to clean thoroughly with denatured alcohol first.

Bought this drill and it was like drilling through butter, or, well, maybe frozen butter but it worked perfectly! A bit harder with precision than a classic tile drill but in this case, it wasn't so important. Thanks for the tip!
